In Ireland on 6th January, as well as the traditional Christian feast of the Epiphany, we celebrate “Little Christmas” or “Women’s Christmas” – known as Nollaig na mBan in the Irish language. This is traditionally the day when the women take a rest after the hectic Christmas season, sometimes exchange gifts, relax and take it easy and let the men do all the housework… now girls, shouldn’t we be glad that we get ONE day off in the year!!!
Time to make it an international holiday I think …!
